Origin Story – Part 3
During the following ten years, I avoided network marketing. I still wanted a residual income to supplement my day job (or replace it eventually), so I started looking into and starting other businesses that could generate long term income.
I started a web site hosting and development business. Everything was great until sites like GoDaddy, Visiting Host and others more came on the scene and prices for hosting a web site dropped. It drove service based hosting companies out by offering very cheap do it yourself alternatives.
I still build web sites for people, mostly existing customers with return work, but most people use services like Fiverr to find an inexpensive developer to get the job done.
I started learning about crypto-currency. Found a few places that helped to start generating residual income there too. Then a couple of years ago the federal regulations tightened, threatened the companies and they all but vanished over night. Many crypto-currencies are still great and serve the purpose of providing an international currency finally. Bitcoin acts like a gold standard where people can park money for later as well. Other than day-trading style means, which is like another job, there is no good residual income there any more that I know of.
Next I started looking into affiliate marketing. The way most books and courses taught it though, it was not a residual income. You could make a large amount of money at a time and there were systems created to show how to do just that. But most were not set up with a way to create a residual income.
Real Estate has many methods of using rentals, flipping, AirBNB strategies and more. Many people are very successful generating an income in that field, but I wanted something with less financial risk and that didn’t require a great credit score.
I knew I didn’t want to do network marketing again. That was a definate.
I am very fortunate to make a great income. The challenge is, making enough residual income to replace a large salary is actually harder than it is for those starting with less income to replace. With a family relying upon me, I would have to find something very solid. It would have to be enough to cover medical expenses and everything for years to come if I were to attain the dream of a freedom lifestyle.
So, I worked on a way to move my regular job to work from anywhere. Then I get the benefits, the pension continues to grow and I still get to work where I want and do something I love. I changed from wanting to leave my job to simply adding as much residual income as I could to supplement my desired lifestyle.
During this time, I met a number of very successful people, some of who became my mentors.
One is a best selling author, one is a professional online marketer, another is a professional funnel builder and more. I learned from them and knew I would find a way to help others attain the freedom to work from anywhere that I was experiencing.
My eyes really started to open as I learned to do marketing the right way, how attraction marketing works and how to calculate lead value properly while building your list. I learned about paid prospecting, a system where you get paid money gaining prospects rather than paying for leads.
They showed how high tech could help lead people to high touch using social platforms and other systems. These replaced the meetings of old.
They explained that what I had done all of those years was not the best way to build a business…and NOT the way most TOP leaders build themselves.

One of my business partners during the crpto adventures was Mike Klingler. He was able to create advertisements that just always worked. For every dollar we put in, we got more than a dollar out.
He teaches about building a list of people rather than building a business or selling a product. The list is what is important and what most affiliate marketers seem to miss. We could offer additional affiliate products and make even more later (referred to as ‘on the back-end’).
You have to provide value to everyone you work with. You have to give to receive.
Many of the income streams set up during that period of time are still working today. So, even when one of the companies we worked with took a large chunk of our savings after going under and not holding to its commitments to its investors, we moved forward. Yes, we all lost a ton of money. But once you know how to market properly…you can bounce right back even stronger.
When Mike decided to use these marketing skills to build a network marketing business and not just referral or affiliate programs…I was very leery at first. I didn’t want to be a network marketer.
I had to really think about the idea before it dawned on me. It is absolutely true that an MLM opportunity is technically just another affiliate program as long as they are okay with you doing online marketing. When you apply the true marketing skills with the right mixture of affiliate products and back that up with the right MLM company…you get commissions that can build much higher since they are not limited to 1-5 tiers.
It took some time, but a company that fit VERY well into what we wanted to do with our marketing does exist. We built a system of companies to use as the base of this synergy of affiliate products and services.
So, even though I didn’t want to do network marketing again…I knew it would work. I knew we would come up with the right ads as well. As long as I didn’t have to talk to friends and family or cold call or use the three foot rule this time. As long as I had a way to bring good people to me rather than selling/convincing people to do something. As long as it could be set up in a way where it did not rely upon me to continue to grow, where I could wake up in the morning, check my email and see how many new people were ready to go to work to have the same thing.
And it was amazing how well the marketing skills work to combine the industries together.
Today, most of my team is made up of people who were once in the same position I was. They know about, and believe in, network marketing and affiliate marketing. They know it works and respect doing things the right way this time. Yeah, maybe it hadn’t worked for them in the past…or it did and they lost it due to company policy changes, theft, ownership issues, etc. They come in with knowledge, skills and a renewed dream…ready to get to work on a system that works.

We don’t even ask people to spend any money right away. If you get what we are doing, and then want to capitalize on it, then learn the affiliate programs we promote, the company that pays us the majority of our income and our marketing.
There is very little you have to do to make this system work. Every month the business volume in each company we partner with, even the MLM company, has surpassed the total of the prior months added together. That is true residual income. We found the right company, the right product mix, the right corporate staff, the right affiliate offers and the right advertising to go with our marketing skills. And we want to share it with you!
We are rewarded for helping other people succeed. That is a great feeling! I have learned so much on my journey and I love sharing it with my family and others who want to learn.
We have found our long term residual income and it is far better than we even imagined. We consistently have people who use our system ranked on the top leader boards and quickly advancing in ranks…even in their very first month. Our organization grew to the number of people we had in the first two attempts combined within the first couple of months.
If you don’t understand any of what I just explained…or have never been involved in any online or MLM business, that is fine. You don’t have to have prior experience if you are willing to learn. We will teach you everything and even provide simple to follow steps that anyone can do. Many are profitable before they even know how the compensation plan even works or what the products are in some cases. They just follow the steps…and it works.
